Bitcore is a complete, native interface to the Bitcoin network, and provides the core functionality needed to develop apps for bitcoin.

Bitcore looks like a very interesting project. I was more than a little surprised to see it was written in Node, but the distributed nature of Bitcoin is probably a pretty good fit with the async nature of Node. Should make interacting with Bitcoin programmatically a bit more accessible.
