Lockheed Martin plans to build the SR-72, aka Son of Blackbird. The original Blackbird could reach Mach 3, which was fast enough to out run attackers missiles. The SR-72 plans to hit Mach 6. At that speed it could reach pretty much any point on the globe in an hour.
